Education & Research

Through evidence, data, and community-informed research, BlackTECH Hub strengthens knowledge systems that influence policy, investment, and program design, ensuring Black communities are visible, informed, and positioned to drive long-term systemic change.

Education & Research

Education and Research are foundational to BlackTECH Hub’s role as an ecosystem builder and knowledge leader. We believe evidence, data, and lived experience must inform policies, programs, and investments that affect Black communities. Historically, Black voices and realities have been underrepresented in research and decision-making spaces. BlackTECH Hub advances education and research initiatives that generate insight, elevate community perspectives, and strengthen system-level understanding. Our work bridges the gap between academic research, community knowledge, and practical application. By investing in research and learning, we help ensure Black communities are visible, informed, and influential in shaping conversations around innovation, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and economic inclusion across Canada.

Education & Research

BlackTECH Hub delivers education and research activities that support capacity building, policy engagement, and ecosystem learning. We collaborate with researchers, academic institutions, governments, and community partners to produce research that highlights barriers, opportunities, and emerging trends affecting Black communities. Our initiatives support community-informed studies, data collection, and knowledge sharing that inform program design and policy development. Education efforts focus on increasing awareness, strengthening community understanding of complex systems, and equipping leaders with evidence to advocate effectively. Through research and education, BlackTECH Hub contributes to evidence-based solutions that drive systemic change, improve outcomes, and support inclusive, long-term growth.
