    Mandate Statement

BlackTECH Hub is mandated to design, deliver, and scale inclusive initiatives that remove systemic barriers to economic participation, support business creation and growth, strengthen workforce readiness, and contribute to safer, more resilient communities through prevention, reintegration, and collaborative systems change.

    Our Story

BlackTECH Hub began operations in 2018 with a clear purpose: to address persistent gaps in economic opportunity, entrepreneurship, and workforce access facing Black communities across Canada. What started as a response to lived experience and community need has grown into a nationally recognized, Black-led ecosystem focused on inclusive economic development and community impact. From the outset, BlackTECH Hub was built on the belief that sustainable change requires more than short-term interventions. It demands systems-level solutions that combine skills development, entrepreneurship support, innovation, and community-driven approaches to safety and stability. Guided by this belief, the organization has evolved to deliver practical programs, build cross-sector partnerships, and design initiatives that respond to both emerging economic trends and longstanding structural barriers. Since its inception, BlackTECH Hub has supported over 20,000+ individuals, including entrepreneurs, job seekers, youth, women, newcomers, and community members, through entrepreneurship development, Job placements, training, mentorship, business support, research, and community-based initiatives. This reach reflects our commitment to accessibility, relevance, and measurable impact. Today, BlackTECH Hub operates as a platform for connection, delivery, and scale. We bring together talent, enterprise, research, and community insight to create inclusive pathways that expand opportunity, strengthen workforce participation, and foster safer, more resilient communities. Rooted in community and driven by outcomes, our story continues to be one of growth, accountability, and long-term commitment to building an inclusive and equitable future for Black communities across Canada.
