Eligibility
- Self-identify as Black.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Reside in, operate a business in, or be developing a venture primarily based in Southern Ontario.
- Be the founder, co-founder or authorized principal of the venture.
- Have a credible AI-enabled commercial opportunity.
- Commit to the accelerator journey and Demo Day.
- Participate in program monitoring and outcome reporting.

What founders should know.
Is BAIVA an AI course?
No. BAIVA is a venture development and commercialization accelerator. Applied AI programming is one component of a broader program that includes business advisory, technical support, founder coaching, mentorship, commercialization, investment readiness and market access.
Do I need technical or coding experience?
No. BAIVA is designed for entrepreneurs. Selected founders will have access to applied AI guidance and technical expertise.
Do I need to already have a registered business?
Not necessarily. BAIVA supports founders from opportunity and idea validation through venture development, commercialization and early-stage growth.
Is BAIVA only for technology companies?
No. The key consideration is whether you are developing a credible AI-enabled commercial opportunity. This may exist across many industries.
How many entrepreneurs will be selected?
Up to 25 entrepreneurs will be selected for Cohort 1.
Where will the program be delivered?
BAIVA uses a hybrid model combining virtual programming with in-person activities across Southern Ontario.
Is there a program fee?
No. There is no program fee for selected Cohort 1 participants.
Does participation guarantee funding or investment?
No. BAIVA provides investment-readiness, investor engagement and ecosystem opportunities, but participation does not guarantee financing, investment, revenue or commercial outcomes.
